So watching the show and seeing people they trusted the most which are their parents, was enjoying to watch it, in their little minds they think that its O.K. to kill someone. Nobody really explains the consequences to them or they dont tell them that the person who is killing a person who is a criminal has license and education to do that; otherwise they would be punished by law. Its not right to decide to kill someone just like that, without serious consideration about the consequences of the act. They dont have all the access to all that information when they are 7 years old, but they have access to all the violence in the world or on T.V. or in their lives at home. If their parents were fighting violently, hurting, beating one another or abusing the children; thats not a safe place to be.
They dont know a better place, because they dont even realize that there is a different kind of life out there where people can be protected or receives fair treatment. Thats their world which actually influences their hopes, fantasies or plans about their own future. The family which is the most important role model shapes most childrens future. If they are lucky, they will find out that there are better choices in life and there are many different paths they can choose from. The real question is how we can identify the problem early enough so the child doesnt end up shooting other teenagers and end up dead or in prison for the rest of their lives.
When they are school age, its always possible for their teachers to reach them. For this purpose, the classrooms shouldnt include more than 23-30 students. And every school has experienced counselors. They can talk to the students on one-on-one regular basis. So they would get to know them better and can explore the secret thoughts in their minds. Just like a rabbi or Pasteur; they can be a part of the students lives to talk to comfortably and most important, discrete and reliable. If a student knows that there is a person out there he can share his problems and his deepest thoughts, fears with; the schools wouldnt need metal detectors. By restricting something which is not even supposed to be in their little minds may cause curiosity and concern. What kind of massage is a school giving to children by punishing a child for bringing Pokemon key chains which are a little bit long or a knife to cut the chicken in his lunch box? It shows that the school principal has no idea about the students in his school. And they have no clue if the child who brought the knife in the lunch box can be violent or a good student who has normal relationships with his friends, who actually has no prospects of wounding someone with that knife.
Restricting something is like telling a child not to smoke but not explaining the reasons so that he would understand, because of that he would choose not to smoke, not because it is restricted.
For example; I found a book at home one day when I was 9 years old. The name of the book was Heroin. When I finished the book, I was disgusted to find out how a person who innocently starts by trying one time ends up really embarrassing and messy situations, can be found in a bathroom in his own vomit. After reading that book, if someone offered me money or a lot of attractive things, I would never do it. It was a choice I would carry with me for the rest of my life. But there was also an important element in the system of my education which Ill explain later played an important role in the lives of all students attending the same high school. To explore that reason years later is really exiting. I believe that reason will bring solutions in the lives of students who are growing up to be the future of the country and of the world, humanity. Ill bring that subject later.
Now lets return back to the restriction of things but not reasoning them. If you tell a child not to smoke a cigarette, but if you are actually smoking yourself; the child will get the massage in a wrong way like; its O.K. to smoke , but to do that you need to be a grown up. So he will start very young hiding from the parents, thinking that smoking makes them look like a grown up.
