How can we create a more meaningful way of living? In the most difficult, challenging moments of our lives while learning and experiencing, we can also connect to our souls and have a better understanding. How do we connect to our souls and remember who we really are?
We are not only what we do, how we behave, how we live, how we look, where we live, what we eat, were not only who were related to, how well were known, were not only what we know or what we believe, there is much more to life than that.
Why do you think a famous person is doing things which we dont expect from them? Like doing drugs, driving drunk, getting into trouble? That person seems to have everything he needs; fame, beauty, wealthHe lives in an ideal house, with the family he longed for, success. It seems totally ridiculous when this person behaves like a homeless, doing drugs, turning their lives to a mass, and when you ask them, they cant really describe how and why it happens.
If we can see things more clearly, we can also see that a person who has everything is a human being. Who possibly can have, is expected to be happy and have the inner peace too, right? But it doesnt work this way. While trying to be famous, wealthy, etc. on the way to reach the ideals in ones mind, there is always a possibility to disconnect from the soul. Focusing on the superficial things which people can lose eventually, like wealth, fame, beauty, and they forget who they really are.
We always have to remember that were here for a divine purpose and each one of us has a meaningful mission in this wonderful universe. And the truth is that mission doesnt necessarily include humanity, or a whole lot of challenge as most people think. Some people are here just to be, or just to touch one individuals life, is not known, or not even such a thing, simply be. Everyone tries to be best in some subject, which is a good thing of course; but does that make this someone fulfilled, satisfied? Not for a long time. Next thing this person will try to find is a new challenge. Its really great that human beings could go to moon, and then they wanted to find out about Mars. I really respect to scientific developments, especially genetic researches. Is that all we can expand our knowledge? How about who we are, why we are here?
If we can improve spiritually as well as scientifically; I believe that would bring humanity to a blissful place. Unfortunately they both tend to develop separate from each other .Imagine the combination of inner and deep plus outer and vast ;an infinitive state without limits .Isnt that a better place to be ? For a scientist it feels like there are no limits to discovering. The truth is life doesnt have a beginning or an end. It is infinitive. In other words it was always there and always will be, just in different forms.
The key to be able to adjust to this incredible and vast experience is to live in the moment .Otherwise people can feel overwhelmed with the simple thought of being.
If you tell a warrior that the path he is walking is infinitive he may not want to continue, but if you let him realize that this will be an incredible journey with many different choices, he will be enthusiastic about experiencing.
A dervish who has lived decades ago wrote a poem;
Im walking day and night, I dont know how I am indeed, and Im walking day and night.
The massage in these words is he actually understood the meaning of life; he does not focus on which path he walks on, he does not focus on how he is, he simply walks. He does not find it necessary to have hopes, he does not have any definition of the path, and he just walks. The dervish who has written those words has been blind. He describes the life, and he has already found the meaning , the essence of life and that is accepting as it is , not trying to resist , he is not questioning why he was born blind, he is living in the present, he is walking on the path of life just simply being. He has found the freedom, in other words he is not depended on circumstances to be happy. He already is happy to be a part of the existence. He is a whole person without any doubt.
I have seen patients in the emergency room; most of their bodies have been burned so badly in a night club fire. Most of them had little chance to survive. One of them was asking; why me? Why am I chosen to have this terrible, painful experience? This person was in disbelief.
